Job title: Church Engagement Lead
Location: Remote with some travel
Terms: Part-Time
Salary/rate: £12,000 annually
Requirements: Two days per week, some travel to events and conferences
About us: The Starfish Alliance is a faith-based (Christian) charity working in the church sector to establish camps and support for children in care.
About the role:
The Starfish Alliance is establishing new camps and programmes in England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. As our programmes are hosted and administered by local churches, it is important that we engage as many of them as possible to maintain a pipeline of hosts for new camps. This person will be our ambassador to churches, pastors, leaders, and other Christian ministry representatives with whom we engage for new camps.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a list of prospective churches for new camps
- Manage a pipeline CRM as prospects become Starfish partners
- Represent The Starfish Alliance at conferences and events
- Help create and manage networking events for churches who operate in the fostering/adoption space
- Strategise with other team members for programme growth
- Speak at churches as needed, promoting the work of The Starfish Alliance
- Work with other team members as needed for various projects and activities
Candidate requirements:
- Must have good communication skills (writing, public speaking, Zoom meetings and phone calls).
- Good organisational skills and the ability to self-manage are a must.
- Must have understanding of Starfish KIDS Camps, preferably experience as a volunteer.
- Being a Christian and regular church-attender is an occupational requirement of this position.
