Starfish coaches are typically people who will have succeeded in their chosen career or business. We need people that can share their life experiences with the kids to demonstrate that, with our without qualifications, the right attitude, honesty and integrity they can achieve their goals in their adult life. Maybe you had a similar childhood or attitude towards the establishment of school.

You will need to have at least ten hours free time on a voluntary basis available to run a starfish programme once per school year. We usually work with Year 10 or 11 students that are identified by the school as having learning, behavioural or home life difficulties resulting in a high likelihood of exclusion from schools, failure of exams or low self esteem.

Our sole objective is to help at least one student to change their view of the need for education or go on to become successful outside of school in their chosen career.
